Below is a list of Elfin Terms and words they are referred to:
SPRING/ newleaf, newgreen
SUMMER/ hotsun, hot season
FALL/ leafchange, leaf fall
WINTER/ whitecold
TURN OF THE SEASONS/ one year
EIGHT OF DAYS/ one week
MOON/ one month
SUN GOES DOWN/ west
SUN COMES UP/ east
HUBWARD/ north
AWAY FROM THE HUB/ south
CHILD MOON, LITTLE MOON/ smaller of the two moons
BIG MOON, MOTHER MOON/ larger of the two moons
DAYSTAR/ sun
PUCKERNUTS/ bitter nuts or a reference to a frustrating situation
FEVER DREAM/ hallucinations caused by high fever or illness
LOCKSENDING/ a private sending between two elves that can not be intruded upon
WHISTLING LEAVES/ will bring down fevers when chewed
NEEDLE TREE/ evergreen of any kind
CUB/ young animal or child
ROUNDEARS, TALL ONES, FIVE FINGERS, LANDERS/ humans
BEESWEETS/ preservers term for honey
BIRDSBASKET/ preservers term for a birds nest
VAST DEEP/ sea or ocean
FIRE MOUNTAIN, SMOKE MOUNTAIN/ volcano
FIRETAIL/ comet or meteor
SKYFIRE/ lightning
SKYSPINNER/ tornado
HOWLING WINDS/ hurricane
HIGH WATER/ tide
GREAT TAIL/ whale
