Gender: Female Soul Name: Surl (developed one over her many years wandering and a need for privacy)

Life/Love-mate: Lovemate to Vaun
Cub(s): N/A Height: 5 ’3 (in both forms)
Age: 2,803 (in Holt year 8,103)
Hair: Brown mixed with Black streaks worn down off to the left (Just past her shoulders with a braid on the right side of her face.)
Face and Eyes: Slightly heart shaped, Ice Blue
Skin Tone: Pale when she first comes to Oceans edge but she gets a light tan over the years
Body Type: Lean
Marks/Scars/Outstanding Features: Her streaked hair
Tribe: Oceans Edge (8,091) and later the Towers 8108)
Clothing: see drawing of all her outfits, she wears mostly land clothes now See art refs. But still swims a lot.
Jewelry: Crescent Moons Necklace (she gave to Vaun when he leaves, (8,093) then got it back when he returns in 8,095) it’s made of shell. She also has her twisted silver hoop earrings and leather armband (on her upper right arm).
Weapons: Steel dagger, Bow and staff knowledgeable
Special Possessions: Her memories of past tribes she’s visited and lived in. (human or elf) Her Crescent moons necklace.
Abilities: Strong sending after many years of practice. She has a good range. Changing into her human form, which she discovered on accident. (She hesitates to do so around elves) A semi-tanner and she loves to ride High-backs. She is very fluent with many human tongues and can generally piece together new ones from the many she knows. Though she is a "glider" she has never been able to do so, yet she found out she was a very good swimmer without the need of fleshshaped fins, and with practice learned to hold her breath for a good period of time.
Skills: simple tanner, swimming, holding her breath for long periods of time

Friends: Anyone in the two Holts that is not unpleasant.
Origin: Her real parents are Galteiria and a father Galteira will not reveal. Galteiria is the healer of Vléne Glwendíl, Once New Palace. Merle was raised by her older half sister Lura mostly because she followed her everywhere Lura didn’t fly. On finding that the elves of Vléne Glwendíl were unsure on how to further protect themselves from raiding humans, and were going to have a council on the issue. A young Merle decided to go for a walk in the friendly human village below. She often did this as did many of the other elves, so it was normal for the humans below Vléne Glwendíl. The village was raided by a wandering band and Merle was knocked out but not before unknowingly changing into her human form. (TBD story arch) She has since learned and lived with humans and elves everywhere she has traveled. She has a wanderer’s heart and loves to see new places, but she is getting tired in her search for home and decided to settle down in Ocean’s Edge to make a new one.
Likes: Swimming, riding Blackfrost and later (10,025) her highback mare Heartracer, spending time with Tribemates and Vaun
Dislikes: Unnecessary violence, Preservers who don’t get the clue to stop singing
Fears: She won’t be able to help those she cares about. Does not like that fact that she has no useful abilities to protect the ones she cares about.
Personality: She does not think that she will ever recognize so when/if it will be a surprise. She can be very outspoken or just listen. She is protective of her friends and tribe, wishes she had her mother’s gift in healing or some other useful ability to help her tribe(s). Misses her original tribe at Vléne Glwendíl and hopes to make it back there someday and that they are all still alive.
