Vaun (Earthbleed) CIS

NAME: Ashlon Hale
CHARACTER NAME: Vaun (Earthbleed, though he rarely goes by it)
RACE: Half Wolfrider (by his father) half glider (by his mother). He has never developed his Glider abilities, however.
GENDER: Male
PURE\ANIMAL BLOODED (IF ANIMAL, SPECIFY WHICH): Pure

HEIGHT: 5'6"
HAIR: His hair has considerably lightened in the past few years from a dark mohagaony to a dark shade of auburn, the once crimson rings that lined it now trailing downward, significantly darkening his hair as it gets longer. Gone is the long braid, replaced now by two long tufts that drape just over his ears. The front now flips casually to one side or the other, depending on which way the wind happens to be blowing.
EYES: Diamond shaped and sea blue.
SKIN TONE: He has tanned considerably over the years and has a healthy glow.
BODY TYPE: Vaun has always been tall, but now he is more lean of muscle and free of any extra fat due to his lifestyle.
MARKS\SCARS\OUTSTANDING FEATURES: He has a set of claw marks that go down his abdomen and over his stomach, though they are usually hidden by his clothing.
CLOTHING: Vaun has taken up a more "human" style and with reason. The fur lined vest and gloves have been replaced with a light, slightly cream colored shirt, long sleeved that laces loosely up the front. A leather jacket with thick, slightly darker collar panels is worn over this, looking perhaps a bit too big for him and well loved. A leather strap that is attached to his quiver runs from right shoulder down to left hip. Simple cotton breeches and knee high, brown leather boots completes the enssemble.
JEWELRY: He wears only one necklace now, a bead leather chord that has a number of small, almost reptilian like canines.
WEAPONS: Vaun is most proficient with a bow and arrows which he carries on him at all times. He also has two small daggers that are sheathed at the small of his back in case he needs them.
SPECIAL POSSESSIONS: None, at the moment.
ABILITIES: Not one for much talk, Vaun is an especially strong sender. He has also become very sure footed.
SKILLS: He can do basic first aid, but his true skill is in the hunt. He is knowledgeable about skinning, leather working, farming (as of recently) and fishing.
FAMILY: Chantel, mother
ORIGIN: Vaun, nicknamed after his Grandfather, was born to his mother Chantel (a glider of great age) and his father, a much younger wolfrider whose name is yet still unknown. Vaun had very little time with his father, however, before he was taken from both him and his mother by the sea. This accounts, at least in some part, about why he was hesitant to get into the water. His mother, Chantel, could not bare the death and the mourning of her life mate and, as soon as Vaun was of an age to look after himself, left him and went into centuries of solitary confinement. His sole companion not too long after was a she-wolf by the name of Birchmist, named for the color and the markings of her fur. Birchmist was a extraordinary wolf in many ways, actually able to receive and send back to Vaun, something never before or after achieved.
It was shortly after Birchmist died that Vaun, through a journey, would find his two new animal companions, one of Birchmist's own cubs, Oakpaw, and a Highback that he would tame, befriend and come to call FireIce for his coat and eyes.
PERSONAL HISTORY AND INFORMATION:
Personality: Vaun is by nature a quiet individual that has no real want or need to speak aloud. He prefers instead to communicate by sending, which he does quite well and is rather proficient at (think Strongbow from Elfquest). Vaun likes to take the time to think before he speaks, listening to all sides of an argument before coming to conclusions. Around Taeza, whom he considers sister, and his lovemate Merle he is more outspoken.
He is never one to come to anger or violence quickly, but when action is called for he will be first to take action.
COLORS\SYMBOLS: The symbol of the moon is particularly important to him, as it has many meanings. Brown, green and and silvers are his colors.
KNOWLEDGE\OPINION OF:
HUMANS: They're not as bad as many elves make them out to be...well, some of them.
TROLLS: Greedy creatures, but useful.
